DRINK • When you’re looking for a refreshing beer to beat the summer heat, the choice isn’t always clear.


Pale lagers from the tropics are a popular summer choice, but cloudy wheat beers have been refreshing beer drinkers in countries like Germany and Belgium for centuries.


Prime Restaurants, which owns Fionn MacCool’s at the Sheraton Suites in Eau Claire, has devised a summer menu to accompany and showcase hazy wonders like Hoegaarden from Belgium, Erdinger from Germany and Blanche de Chambly, which is made in Quebec by Unibroue.


“It’s the perfect patio drink — so refreshing for the summer,” said Shari Salter, Prime’s marketing manager.
